Neuromodulators
Treatment of bruxism with neuromodelers, such as botulinum toxin (Botox), involves injecting the product into the masseter muscles to relax them and reduce their excessive activity. By weakening these muscles in a controlled manner, the pressure exerted by clenching or grinding the teeth is reduced, thus relieving the associated pain and preventing tooth wear.
Results usually begin to show within the first few days of treatment, with a significant reduction in muscle tension and improvement in bruxism symptoms. The full effects are seen about two weeks after the procedure, providing long-term relief.
